Data & Deletion

Ikigai Daily has no user accounts and does not upload your favourites, custom cards or app preferences to an Ikigai Daily server. There is therefore no Ikigai Daily account to close and no server profile to request that we delete. You control the local copies directly.

Important

Emailing support is not required to delete local app or website data, and we cannot remotely clear a device we do not control. Use the steps below on each device or browser where you used Ikigai Daily.

Delete iPhone or iPad App Data

  1. To remove an individual custom card, delete it from Customise in the app. You can also unfavourite cards and turn reminders off from the app settings.
  2. To remove all live local data, delete the app rather than offloading it: touch and hold Ikigai Daily, choose Remove App, then Delete App and confirm. You can also use iOS Settings > General > iPhone or iPad Storage > Ikigai Daily > Delete App.
  3. If iCloud or device backup is enabled and you also want backup copies removed, review the backups for that device in your Apple Account iCloud settings. Apple controls backup retention and deletion.

Offload App keeps documents and data and is therefore not the same as deletion. Reinstalling or restoring a device backup may restore app preferences. Deleting the app does not erase Apple's purchase record for Remove Ads; that record allows the purchase to be restored.

Delete Android Test-Build Data

  1. Open Android Settings > Apps > Ikigai Daily > Storage & cache, then choose Clear storage or Clear data and confirm. Menu names vary by device.
  2. Alternatively, uninstall Ikigai Daily to remove its live private app storage from that device.
  3. If Android or Google device backup is enabled and you also want a backup copy removed, manage the relevant device backup in your Google Account or backup service settings. Google or the device provider controls backup retention and deletion.

A backup can restore settings after reinstall. Clearing app data or uninstalling does not erase Google Play's purchase record for Remove Ads, which is kept by Google Play so the purchase can be restored.

Delete Website Data

The website stores reader favourites, your privacy choice and the download-prompt preference in browser local storage. Use your browser's privacy or site-settings screen to clear cookies and site data for ikigaidaily.app. Clearing all browsing data also removes it, but may affect other websites. Repeat this in each browser or browser profile you used.

Advertising Data and Consent

Remove Ads stops future AdMob ad requests after the store entitlement is verified, but it does not delete information Google or an ad partner processed earlier. Where required, use Privacy Choices in the app Settings to change Google consent. You can also change iOS tracking permission, reset or delete the Android advertising ID, and use Google My Ad Center or Google's privacy tools. Requests concerning data controlled by Google must be made to Google.

Store Purchases and Wikipedia

Apple and Google keep store-account, transaction and refund records under their own legal and retention rules. JJ BROS STUDIO LTD cannot delete records held in your Apple or Google account. Use the relevant store's account and privacy controls for those records.

When you request optional Wikipedia context, Wikimedia receives the request directly. Wikimedia—not Ikigai Daily—controls its network records. Consult the Wikimedia Privacy Policy for its rights and contact routes.

Support Emails

If you have emailed us, that correspondence is separate from local app data. You may ask us to delete personal information in a support conversation by emailing support@ikigaidaily.app from the same address, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, accounting or dispute purposes. We may ask for enough information to locate and verify the request.

Need Help?

Read the full Privacy Policy or contact support@ikigaidaily.app. Tell us whether you use the iPhone app, an Android test build or the website, but never send passwords, payment card details or a store-account password.
