The idea in context
Author unknown. The line spread through social media in the 2010s, often stamped with the name of the Roman Stoic philosopher Seneca — but it appears nowhere in his letters or essays, and quote researchers treat the Seneca label as a modern invention. It endures because the paradox is real: peace is not always found by avoiding conflict. Sometimes it arrives only after you name the habit, fear or situation that is quietly destroying you — and fight it.
