The idea in context
Sojourner Truth escaped slavery in 1826 and became a towering campaigner for both abolition and women's rights, best known for her 1851 speech often titled 'Ain't I a Woman?'. She could not read or write, so her words survive through others' records — but her conviction rings clear: truth may be resisted, yet in the end it outlasts the lie.
