Q1516Divers exploring off Egypt in 2025 mapped a sunken port at Taposiris Magna — polished floors, columns and anchors from the age of Cleopatra, now resting under the Mediterranean.
Taposiris Magna, west of Alexandria, is a temple town long searched for clues to Cleopatra VII. The underwater survey revealed harbour structures that show it was a serious maritime hub, adding context to the long-running search around this coast — though Cleopatra's tomb has never been found.
