Why it matters

The idea in context

During deep sleep the hippocampus 'replays' the day's experiences to the cortex, moving fragile new memories into long-term storage. Lose the sleep and you lose much of the learning.

Uyku hafızayı pekiştirir: Beyin, derin uyku ve REM uykusu sırasında öğrendiklerini yeniden oynatır ve güçlendirir.

Derin uyku sırasında hipokampus, günün deneyimlerini kortekse 'yeniden oynatır' ve kırılgan yeni anıları uzun süreli depoya taşır. Uykuyu kaybedersen öğrenmenin büyük bölümünü de kaybedersin.
